Economic Observer: In January 2025, the demand for large-displacement motorcycles in China is strong, and foreign trade exports remain at a high level.

According to news from the "China Motorcycle Industry Association", in January, the entire industry completed the production and sales of 1.3648 million and 1.383 million fuel motorcycles, with a month-on-month decrease of 11.52% and 7.38%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.68% and 2.77%; according to incomplete statistics from the association, the production and sales of electric motorcycles were 207,100 and 214,400, with a month-on-month decrease of 24.13% and 19.11%, and a year-on-year decrease of 8.78% and 2%. In January, the total production and sales of motorcycles were 1.5719 million and 1.5975 million, with a month-on-month decrease of 10.56% and 9.14%, and a year-on-year increase of 1% and 2.1%. Among them, the production and sales of two-wheeled vehicles were 1.4076 million and 1.4254 million, with a month-on-month decrease of 10.55% and 6.16%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.72% and 3.44%. The production and sales of large-displacement recreational motorcycles (displacement above 250cc, excluding 250cc) were 64,400 and 59,000, with a month-on-month decrease of 7.6% and 12.85%, and a year-on-year increase of 63.87% and 52.85%. The production and sales of three-wheeled motorcycles were 164,300 and 172,000, with a month-on-month decrease of 31.97% and 28.08%, and a year-on-year decrease of 11.62% and 7.78%.
Additionally, according to incomplete statistics from the association, the top ten companies (groups) in electric motorcycle sales in January were Yadea Technology Group, Zhejiang Luyuan, Zongshen, Jiangsu New Day, Jiangsu Huaihai, Chunfeng Power, Bus New Energy, Wuxing Vehicles, Longxin, and Jinyi, selling 81,700, 31,800, 29,900, 18,800, 9,600, 9,300, 6,800, 6,100, 5,000, and 4,500 units respectively.
